Kelly is currently completing her doctorate at the University of Oxford, and is an instructor of entrepreneurship at UNR.  She has held various positions in industry and has been a involved in several start-ups, most recently as co-founder and COO of a woman-led health tech venture.  Kelly’s research quite simply focuses on investing in women and girls.  She explores the concept of female organisational frameworks in the context of women-led ventures, how structures are influenced by venture financing, and the new forms of business and investing that are emerging to create a paradigm shift in finance.  Her interest in the field began when she witnessed first hand the frustrations of current organizational models in women-led ventures and the discrepancies surrounding angel and venture investments in women-led companies.  Kelly is an equestrian with a passion for equine therapy, and has a professional background in management consulting, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions with expertise in finance, international strategy, change management and organizational development.  She hold a BS in International Business and Economics from UNR, an MBA from Cornell University, and a Master’s in Public Health from UCLA.
